Finally, a vendor who cares about animal welfare. . .
I enjoyed reading about your grandmother, your knitting history, and how your business has changed as you have changed. Reading your story reminded me of many things in my own life. I'm going through a transition in my work similar to what you described. I've decided to run my handweaving business using products that do the least harm possible. I really appreciate having a vendor who understands not just about fair trade and environmental issues, but also about the fact we need to treat animals more kindly. That seems to be the final frontier of social consciousness, and progress does seem very slow at times. Thanks for your vision, and for making these products available to us.
Great site
It's refreshing to see how extremely committed someone can be to an ideal without the extremist tone. I appreciate that there is none of the brow-beating associated with some Environmentally Conscious or Vegan sites trying to ram their specific approach down your throat (directed at those who may not live up to their standards).
And yet it looks like you've really gone the extra mile to offer the cleanest, purest (not to mention Fair Trade) products possible. Even to the extent of creating your own "eco friendly" finish for your purse handles just to keep it 100% organic. Outstanding product selection. Impressive.
Now let's see some of those patterns that are supposed to be "coming soon"! How long, ya think?

ecobutterfly
I started this blog as a creative extension of my website so that people could have a forum for eco~friendly organic knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving and anything else involving "Green" arts & crafts. I want people to feel free to share their organic knitted items, patterns they love and where to find other cool eco~friendly websites. I want the blog to be filled with information that will make a difference. If this blog helps even one person to make even the smallest change in their life, for the sake of our planet, I will have accomplished a great deal.
I want this blog site to be as user friendly as possible. If you encounter any problems posting comments or have any suggestions for making this site better please contact me.
